Wizards Are Real draw from the wells of 90’s-era modern rock, classic country, and late 60’s jazz. The band has been called psychadelic, jazz, and post-rock, among other things. The band features sax (tenor and baritone) and pedal steel backed up by a rock rhythm section. Concise, hooky songs challenge the notion that instrumental music needs to be melodramatic, bombastic and apocalyptic.
